Abstract

Kajian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti pengalaman siswi berkahwin di Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Enam orang siswi telah terlibat sebagai responden melalui teknik purposive sampling dan snowball sampling . Pengkaji menggunakan tiga jenis instrumen, iaitu pengkaji sebagai instrumen utama, soalan temu bual, dan borang demografi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan kaedah perbandingan berterusan (Constant Comparative Method) yang melibatkan dua proses, iaitu pengekodan terbuka dan pengekodan berpaksi. Pengkodan terbuka menghasilkan lapan kategori dan 16 subkategori, manakala pengkodan berpaksi menonjolkan tiga isu utama dalam kehidupan siswi berkahwin, iaitu penyesuaian diri, isu komunikasi dan pengurusan masa. Kajian mendapati dengan menggunakan pelbagai strategi seperti pembahagian masa, pembahagian tugas, beribadah dan melakukan tugasan akademik dalam kampus mampu membantu siswi menggalas pelbagai peranan serentak. Limitasi dan cadangan kajian juga dibincangkan dalam artikel ini.
