PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASI TERHADAP KOMITMEN ORGANISASI PESERTA PROGRAM HOMESTAY DI MALAYSIA
Abstract
This paper examines the effect of transformational leadership style to the organizational commitment among the participants in a homestay program. Four dimensions of transformational leadership were used; they are the influence of the individual, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration. This study involved 304 respondents from the homestay program in Malaysia. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and regression analysis. Results of regression analysis indicated that intellectual stimulation (ß = 0.275, p <0.00) is the main predictors of organizational commitment among the participants in the homestay program. These studies also find that individual influence, inspirational motivation and individualized consideration does not contribute to organizational commitment among the participants in the homestay program.
Kertas kerja ini mengkaji pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasi ke atas komitmen organisasi dalam kalangan peserta program homestay. Empat dimensi kepemimpinan transformasi telah digunakan iaitu pengaruh individu, motivasi inspirasi, stimulasi intelektual dan pertimbangan individu. Kajian ini melibatkan 304 responden dari program homestay di Malaysia. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahawa rangsangan intelek (ß = 0,275, p <0,00) adalah peramal utama komitmen organisasi dalam kalangan peserta program homestay. Kajian ini juga mendapati bahawa pengaruh individu, inspirasi motivasi dan pertimbangan individu tidak menyumbang kepada komitmen organisasi dalam kalangan peserta program homestay.
