Abstract

This study was conducted to identify the role played by the intervening variables personal reflection on the relationship between risk perception and critical thinking skills by climbing adventure activities against a backdrop of mountains in Peninsular Malaysia. The study sample consisted of 112 university students of higher learning institutions. 2 sets of questionnaires administered to each respondent before and after the expedition that accompanied them. The data obtained prove empirically that the relationship between risk perception and critical thinking skills are moderated by personal reflection partially. In conclusion, the use of climbing activities that are risky adventure has proved able to enhance critical thinking skills through personal reflection mediation
