Penyertaan Politik Masyarakat Dala Pilihanraya: Kajian Kes Pilihanraya Umum Ke-10 Di Negeri Johor.
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Public understanding about the political system, especially in Malaysia showed a change towards maturity. This maturity is manifested in various forms of participation that eventually affect voting patterns and trends. The study looked at the forms of community participation in electoral politics, especially in Johor in 1999. The study was conducted using a survey questionnaire and interviews. The results found that there are several factors that encourage community participation in electoral politics.

Pemahaman masyarakat mengenai sistem politik khususnya di Malaysia memperlihatkan perubahan ke arah kematangan. Kematangan ini dijelmakan dalam pelbagai bentuk penyertaan yang akhirnya memberi kesan kepada pola dan tren pengundian. Kajian melihat bentuk-bentuk penyertaan masyarakat dalam politik pilihanraya khususnya di Johor pada tahun 1999. Kajian ini dijalankan dengan menggunakan kaedah pengedaran borang soal selidik dan temubual. Hasil mendapati terdapatnya beberapa faktor yang mendorong penyertaan masyarakat dalam politik pilihanraya.
