Abstract

ABSTRACT

Each family has value and dignity that maintained through the expected role of the family members. Happiness of family life can be achieved if the role expected is not being ignored and good relation among family members is maintained. Hence this paper discusses domestic violence intervention module (child abuse) and adolescent crime (juvenile) based on Johor-based case studies that have been conducted as background to the module. The modules are designed to help the facilitator while conducting participants among victims of abuse and those involved in juvenile cases. Among the activities undertaken include individual work, group work, plenary discussions, case studies and role palying. To be concluded, this intervention module is geared to the determination towards shaping character and identity of individuals, particularly teenagers and the community to be more robust.

Setiap keluarga mempunyai nilai dan maruah yang dipertahankan melalui peranan yang diharapkan daripada ahli-ahli keluarga. Kebahagian hidup berkeluarga boleh dicapai sekiranya peranan yang diharapkan itu tidak diabaikan dan hubungan-hubungan baik sesama ahli keluarga dijaga. Justeru kertas kerja ini membincangkan modul intervensi keganasan rumahtangga (penderaan anak) dan jenayah remaja (juvana) di peringkat negeri Johor berlandaskan kajian kes yang telah dijalankan sebagai latar belakang kepada modul. Modul-modul tersebut digubal untuk membantu fasilitator semasa mengendalikan perserta-peserta mangsa penderaan dan mereka yang telibat dalam kes juvana. Antara aktivit-aktiviti yang dijalankan termasuklah kerja-kerja individu, kerja-kerja berkumpulan, perbincangan pleno, kajian kes dan menjalankan peranan. Yang jelas modul intervensi ini menjurus kepada wadah perjuangan ke arah membentuk peribadi dan jati diri individu khususnya remaja dan seterusnya masyarakat supaya menjadi lebih mantap.
