Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to identify important factors affecting teamwork and teamwork effect on performance. The subjects consisted of 40 UTM Skudai residential college administrators. A quantitative survey was conducted. Items for factors affecting teamwork forming were measured using the Teamwork Assessment Inventory (by Elledge, Philips, Moxon and Silberman). Items for employee performance were adopted from Abdul Hadi’s questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were used to identify factors that favored teamwork. Regression was used to test the hypothesis. The findings indicate the priority of the five factors that were tested. Teamwork as a whole were found to influence the performance.


ABSTRAK

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti faktor-faktor yang diutamakan dalam kerja berpasukan serta pengaruh kerja berpasukan kepada prestasi. Subjek kajian terdiri daripada 40 orang pentadbir kolej penempatan pelajar, UTM Skudai. Ia dijalankan secara tinjauan melalui kaedah kuantitatif. Item-item bagi faktor-faktor pembentukan kerja berpasukan diukur menggunakan Inventori Penilaian Pasukan (Elledge, Philips, Moxon dan Silberman). Item prestasi pekerja diukur menggunakan soal selidik Abdul Hadi. Statistik deskriptif min digunakan untuk mengenalpasti faktor yang diutamakan dalam kerja berpasukan. Manakala perkali Regrasi digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan keutamaan kelima-lima faktor yang diuji dalam kerja berpasukan. Kerja berpasukan secara keseluruhannya boleh mempengaruhi prestasi.
