The Relationship between Organizational Factors and the Implementation of Advanced Manaufacturing Technology)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between organizational factors and the implementation of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT). Data were collected using a survey questionnaire of 102 small and medium sized firms. This study shows that awareness of the management has a significant relationship with the implementation of AMT. Most of the literature on the relationship between organizational factors and implementation of AMT were based only on data from developed countries and large multinational firms. This situation has been a major driver for this study to be conducted. This study will extend knowledge by offering empirical evidence from small and medium firms in a developing country, i.e. Malaysia.
