Analisis Faktor Penyebab Stres di Kalangan Pelajar
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to analyze the factors causing stress among Year Two students who joined the Effective Learning Workshop, FPPSM. The research subjects of 30 students are selected based on the achievement of cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.00 and below. Data collection was made using questionnaire that was answered by the respondents. Descriptive analytical method used is frequency, percentage and mean score to identify the level of stress, factors causing stress and stress management strategies among students. The findings indicate that the level stress among students is moderate. The main cause of stress is career, followed by academic factor and environmental factors. Meanwhile, stress management strategies commonly used by most of the students are the behavior type strategy.
ABSTRAK
Kajian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab stres di kalangan pelajar tahun dua yang telah menyertai Bengkel Pembelajaran Efektif (BPE), FPPSM. Kesemua subjek kajian seramai 30 orang pelajar dipilih berdasarkan pencapaian Purata Nilai Gred Kumulatif (PNGK) 3.00 dan ke bawah. Pengumpulan data adalah berdasarkan soal selidik yang telah dijawab oleh responden kajian. Kaedah analisis deskriptif yang digunakan ialah kekerapan, peratusan dan min skor bagi mengenalpasti tahap stres, faktor-faktor penyebab stres dan strategi pengurusan stres di kalangan pelajar. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa tahap stres pelajar adalah sederhana. Faktor kerjaya merupakan penyebab utama stres di kalangan pelajar, diikuti oleh faktor akademik dan faktor persekitaran. Manakala, strategi pengurusan stres yang biasanya digunakan oleh kebanyakan pelajar adalah strategi berbentuk tingkah laku.
