Abstract

This study aims to identify the association between socioeconomic factors (mother’s age and education, the family’s monthly income and numbers of children) and parenting behavior quality in risky family. As around 201 numbers of mothers who have children aged 11 years and poor condition are selected as respondent of this study. These respondents were interviewed face-to-faced using survey forms. Parenting behavior quality is measured using the supportive parenting scales. The findings show that, highly educated mothers with less children practice positive parenting behavior. This study gives the implication that the mother's education and number of children influence parenting behavior in risky family.
